1. The curl is softer and more naturalTraditional lash perms use hard rods that create a tight “C” curl right at the base. It looks doll-like on day 1 and weird by week 3.

Korean lash lifts use custom silicone shields and a multi-step lotion system. The lift starts mid-lash, not at the root. Result: a gentle, eye-opening “L” shape that looks like your natural lashes, just better. No 90-degree angles.

2. They last 6–8 weeks, not 3–4The Korean system uses lower pH solutions and nourishing ingredients like keratin and collagen. It restructures the lash without frying it.

Most clients at our Grey Lynn studio come back at 7 weeks with lift still intact. Traditional perms break down faster because they over-process the hair.

3. Zero damage when done rightWe’ve fixed a lot of botched lifts. The #1 cause: over-timed solutions + no aftercare step.

Korean lifts include a third “nourish” step that re-seals the cuticle. Your lashes come out stronger and glossier, not brittle. We also do a lash health check before every appointment. If your lashes can’t take it, we won’t do it.

5. You can still wear mascara + get them wet after 24hrsNo 48-hour bans. No weird restrictions. Korean lotions are gentler, so the 24-hour set time is legit. After that, swim, gym, oil cleanser — your lift holds.
